Project Description: A collaborative effort of monies form City, State and businesses, to produce 100,000 copies of a full color, fold out map/brochure of Dover Businesses and Points of Interest, distributed around the State of NH at Welcome Centers and "Heres Where" routes.
Types of Jobs: Ad sellers, editors/proofers, muscles to move boxes on delivery day, possible pick-up truck and driver for that day, people to hand carry a stack of brochures to participating businesses. Person(s) to contact current points of interest and city offices etc, to verify phone and email contacts, as well as suggest and verify new interests
Number of Volunteers Needed: 9

Project Description: This project is designed to bring new life and vibrancy to the banners in downtown through a sponsorship program. Annual sponsorship in exchange for a “drop” at the bottom of each banner acknowledges your support of the program with your company name or logo. Project involves creation of banner, business drop, repairs and replacements to bracketing and hardware, maintenance, banner changes and the development of new seasonal banners.
Types of Jobs: Individuals to promotion and sell sponsorships. Prepare invoices and maintain accounts receivable. Coordinate and prepare press releases, banners flyers/applications. Coordinate banner and hardware installation and maintenance with contractor.

Project Description: This project encompasses the planning of new historical markers, as well as the monitoring and maintenance of the existing markers. The markers are located at various locations around the downtown with a picture “then” in contrast to the current view “now”. They also incorporate dialogue of historical commentary explaining what happened at that location at some point in time. They are used to foster interest in Dover’s rich history, as well as providing walking points of interest around our downtown businesses.
Types of Jobs: Volunteers who can check on existing markers, then pass on to the committee chair when needed maintenance is required. Volunteers to research, plan, and advocate for funding of new markers.

Project Description: Sharkey's Texas Hold Em Tournaments donates a portion of proceeds to local charities. Dover Main Street does this 10 nights in 1 Calendar year.

Project Description: The Taste of Dover is one of DMS's fundraising events and includes food from Dover Area restaurants and caterers, live entertainment, drinks and an incredible transformation of the venue into the theme of the evening.

Project Description: This vibrant event brings together local artists, downtown businesses, and the public, uniting Dover’s creative and business communities. More than 50 painters, sculptors, craftsmen and others will display their creations at Henry Law Park, while sidewalk artists, creative craftsmen, and performing artists will entertain guests throughout the day.
