Dover Main Street is a non-profit downtown revitalization organization established in 1999 that operates under the auspices of the National Main Street Center, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Our mission is to preserve the past, promote the present & facilitate the future. This is accomplished through supporting and organizing downtown community events and programs that encourage economic development, within the context of historical and cultural preservation.

Eric serves as a representative for the City of Dover on the Dover Main Street Board. As a resident of Dover since 2002, Eric lives with his wife, in-laws, and college age children within walking distance to downtown on Silver Street, and enjoys the proximity to Dover’s great restaurants and community events.

Carrie is a former Executive Director and Program Director of Dover Main Street that has chosen to stay involved in the organization through the Board of Directors. Prior to her involvement with Dover Main Street she was the Vice President for the Greater York Region Chamber of Commerce. She strongly believes in the success of our locally owned small businesses and the ideals of Shop Local. Carrie helps with promotions of our events and is on the committees for the Run Before You Crawl, Restaurant Week and Holiday Events. She was awarded the Volunteer of the Year in 2015.
Gail has been an active Dover Main Street Board member for the last three years. Gail serves as co-chair of the Adopt-A-Spot program, the Dover Dollars program, and Dover Pride Clean Up Day. Always willing to volunteer at events, overseeing the agendas and minutes, and leading programs, she was awarded as Dover Main Street’s Volunteer of the Year in 2013. She also serves as Secretary for the Dover Kiwanis.

Jes owns Winsor Brook with husband Scott, leasing space to many of the merchants downtown. She joined Dover Main Street as a committee member for the Taste of Dover events, and then as a Board member, to help businesses thrive in the downtown. She handles financials for over forty property owners, which makes her highly skilled in her role as Board Treasurer. She serves as co-chair of the Dover Dollars program, Annual Meeting committee, and the new St. Paddy’s Run Before You Crawl 5K. Scott & Jes have resided in Dover for over nine years with their three girls Jayden, Reagan, and Mollie.

Owner, Cornerstone Tax Services
Cornerstone Tax Services, LLC provides tax, bookkeeping and payroll services to individuals and businesses, as well as guidance with small business start-up. Jennifer helps Dover Main Street prepare our tax reports as a 501-C3 non-profit corporation. Her business recently moved from the downtown, to another location on Dover Point Road, but as a former downtown business owner she represents the interests of the service industries on the Board of Directors. She is a member of the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce, Cochecho Networkers, NATP – National Association of Tax Preparers, the Association of Professional Bookkeepers and Better Business Bureau of NH.
President and Regional Retail Market Manager, Kennebunk Savings Bank
Brendan joined the Dover Main Street Board in early 2013 and has been contributing his talents and ideas to many of our Dover Main Street programs, representing the banking industry on the Board of Directors. Not only does Brendan work in the lending industry, he is always willing to lend a hand at Dover Main Street events, and for program and organizational needs. Brendan is also an active member of the Dover Rotary Club, and acts as a liaison between the Rotary and Main Street to keep us informed of the many projects Rotary sponsors in the Central Business District. He resides with his family in Dover, and is originally from London, England.
Thomas B. Massingham
A long standing member of the Dover Main Street Board, Tom represents the retail & services of downtown and promotes preserving the character and history of the City while encouraging and promoting growth and improvement. He brings a great deal of knowledge of the history of the City, the business climate, familiarity with City government in his role. He has served on the Boards of the Dover Adult Learning Center, the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce, the Retail Merchants Association of NH, and as a member of the Dover Parent’s Music Club. He is a life-long Dover resident, and has two sons, Preston and Webster.
Contract Administrator, NH Department of Transportation
As Station Host at the Dover Transportation Center, and serving on the Board of Directors of the TrainRiders/Northeast and the NH Railroad Revitalization Association, Steve joined the Board to help ensure that passengers of the Amtrak Downeaster have access to information about Dover’s many amenities, restaurants and events. Steve has volunteered for many Dover Main Street events over the years and currently serves as co-chair for the Dover Pride Clean Up Day event, and for the Dover Main Street capital campaign to build a sign at the Downtown Transportation Center. He has resided in Dover with his wife and son since 2006 and they love the City and supporting locally-owned businesses.
Jeff Spires (former Board Chair 2008-2012)
Owner/Producer, Spires Creative Media, LLC
As a downtown business owner, and Dover resident for twelve years, Jeff helps Dover Main Street accomplish its mission bridging the connections between community, business, and the City. As a media producer he brings expertise in design and branding for a variety of media output, including video, web, and print production. He brings his love of historic preservation and talents, as the Main Street representative of the Faces of Dover program, which seeks to highlight the history and unique people of Dover in a variety of mediums for public presentation.
Kim Starling is a member of the local Irish band, Bradigan, providing vocals and playing Bodhran. Kim attended Plymouth State College studying Theatre Arts and her career landed her in many of the area’s finest theatres as an Arts Administrator, such as the Seacoast Rep in Portsmouth, Emerson Majestic in Boston, North Country Center for the Arts in Lincoln NH and as the Associate Artistic Director at the Ogunquit Playhouse. Working locally now for CB Gitty Crafter Supply in Gonic, in which they manufacture and supply parts for folks to enjoy music and build guitars made from cigar boxes.
