    Dover Pride Clean Up Day

One of Main Street’s flagship activities is Dover Pride Clean Up Day which is held this year on Saturday morning, May 10th, 2014 from 8 a.m. to Noon, sponsored by Centrix Bank.

Meet at 8 a.m. for registration at the Cochecho Mill Courtyard at 421 Central Avenue, Downtown Dover.

Bring yourself, your family if you wish, and if you have household gardening tools to use, bring them- rakes, brooms, gloves, edgers are needed!

If you are a group, organization, family or individual wishing to work on a specific site click here

Clean Up Day is an opportunity for citizens of Dover to give a few hours of time and contribute some sweat equity to making Dover look its best for the coming tourist season.

We start with a hearty pancake breakfast and coffee sponsored by the Dover Kiwanis Club at 8 AM in the mill courtyard. From there, hundreds of bright, sunny, energetic volunteers along with help from the Dover Community Services Department rake, prune, sweep, mulch, weed, paint and plant their way through multiple sites in the downtown area. Wentworth Greenhouses donates new flowers for our many downtown planters.

We finish with a pizza lunch sponsored by Kendall Pond Pizza and Coca-Cola back at the Mill Courtyard.

Our efforts help make the downtown area green and beautiful throughout the spring and summer and provides cost savings to the City of Dover.

As always, volunteers are the key to the success of these projects, so whether you can spend just an hour or stay for the whole morning, come on down and support your local community!
