At Halloween Dover Main Street organizes trick-or-treating with our downtown merchants, and 2012 was the biggest year of the event yet, with over 400 local children dressed in costume visiting local businesses!
The weather was sunny and perfect during the full Saturday daytime event, which took place the weekend right before Halloween.
It was a great sight to see all the families enjoying time together in their community for this holiday event.
Dover Main Street offered downtown maps, with participating merchant locations and treat bags available for pick-up at the Children’s Museum, and gave “Enter if you Dare” signs to participating merchants to hang on their doors.
Dover Main Street also coordinated promotion of the event with other Halloween themed events going on downtown that weekend, including at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire and the Mills.

We look forward to more spooky fun in our downtown community in 2013!
