Dover’s Art Walk celebrates 1 year anniversary

DOVER — The monthly, first Friday art walk in downtown Dover celebrates a year of bringing artists and community together this Friday.

Last year, a group of people founded and launched the first Dover Art Walk on March 3, and despite the cold temperatures that evening, art enthusiasts still turned out.

The success of Dover Art Walk was noticed by members of the nonprofit Dover Main Street, who saw how the event drew people downtown, said Danielle Festa, a graphic designer and artist who is the director of Dover Art Walk. Within a few months, Dover Main Street took over the program, and the founders became a subcommittee of the nonprofit that promotes downtown.
