DOVER — Residents created a community holiday tradition by celebrating their hometown/downtown shopping area. Headed by the Dover Main Street Organization, the Garrison City held a Hometown Holiday Party.
More than 20 shops, restaurants, jewelry emporiums, clothing stores and others opened their doors. The sidewalks were filled with shoppers in many cases walking almost shoulder to shoulder from the lower to upper square and back.
Every location was choc-a-block with people anxious to do their shopping and celebrating in the downtown area. The entire evening saw many greetings passed from friend to friend.
